Microsoft hopeful for approval of their new bid to buy Call of duty

Microsoft has put a new bid on the table to buy Call of Duty maker, Activision Blizzard. The initial bid of $69bn was blocked by UK regulators. This new bid is “substantially different” according to the president of Microsoft Brad Smith. If this new bid is approved, Microsoft is optimistic that the demand for the Xbox consoles will increase as well as its gaming subscription business. BBC reports that Microsoft is willing to transfer the rights to stream Activision games from the cloud to a video game publisher called Ubisoft for 15 years.
